T4S members joined UT Extension Director, Maggie Goodman, and Reelfoot National Wildlife Refuge Educator, Tara Dowdy for a tour of the Long Point area of the Refuge. Students toured some of the duck habitats the Fish and Wildlife Service manage to help increase the migratory bird population. They also operated some of the water pump systems and talked about the relationship between Lake County and the nature habitats around us.
