Our diverse programs– which includes our STAR program, Tutorial Program, Summer Camp Program and Food Resource Program – engages and energizes the community with intentional and purposeful focus on inclusion and enrichment.

STAR Program

Students That Achieve Results (STAR). We are committed to a program of twenty students, sixth through twelfth grade, selected based on a set criteria of teacher/counselor recommendation, exceptional school attendance and disciplinary record, demonstration of high motivation, initiative, integrity, and leadership qualities, and community involvement. It is our intent to nurture, support and propel each student to their fullest potential. We are confident that our STAR students will be afforded the resources and opportunities necessary to empower and ensure their success.

Tutoring Program

T4S offers an after-school tutoring program that provides academic support for middle school and high school students. Students are encouraged to set semester, weekly and daily goals in the courses that they may be experiencing the most difficulty. This program offers a more individualized, structured learning experience, improves academic performance, personal growth, and self-esteem. Our state-of-the-art Computer Lab, provided by Homework Helpers, offers the opportunity for students to excel in Accelerator Reader programs, writing tutorials and other technical coursework for school.

Summer Enrichment Program

T4S offers a six-week summer camp. Unlike many other camps that narrow their focus solely on standardized testing, our camp focuses on enrichment activities. Our aim is to keep our students’ bodies and minds active throughout the summer by promoting life skills, recreation, cultural development, field trips and much more. This is a free program for youth in our community.

Food Resource Program

T4S understands the importance of healthy living and nutrition. In conjunction with the YMCA of Dyer County, T4S serves a daily nutritious meal and snacks to our campers.
